Sean Henderson McMillan is the Senior Pastor of Giant Steps Church
and is the epitome of a 21st-century Renaissance man. He is an exceptional
speaker, singer, scholar, author, and political activist. He believes
that the church has a moral responsibility to fight for social justice
and peace outside the church walls. Affectionately called Pastor
Sean, his ministering is a sacred gift that pours out unfiltered
from the Holy Spirit.
Pastor Sean, a native of New York City and currently the Executive
Director of the Center for African American Theological Studies
where he teaches moral philosophy and philosophical ethics. He is
also a former associate dean at McCormick Theological Seminary.
Pastor Sean was featured in the 2005 summer issue of the African
American Pulpit as one of the nation’s most promising preachers
in the magazine’s “Twenty to Watch” salute to gifted young African
American preachers.
Known for his charismatic presence and melodious voice, his words
